Covid-19 Response

Update: Vaccinated Solar Detective's Available

If you or your client prefer, The Solar Detective will send a Vaccinated Detective for your Residential Solar Inspection©. The Solar Detective is following CDC guidelines; wearing masks and social distancing.

The Solar Detective is still open and providing Residential Solar Inspections© and we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of all during this period of uncertainty.

We understand what a challenging time this is for you and your business. This is new territory for all of us, but we’ve got your back.

We know and understand that the inspection process is very important in the transaction process and are here to help out in any way possible. We will send you a signed copy of the PEAD for the property for any of our Solar Detectives that will be onsite for an inspection.  The Solar Detective will provide you with a signed copy of CAR’s PEAD prior to arriving for the Residential Solar Inspection©.

A few things we are recommending to better serve you during the inspection process:

  • Although we do not need to enter the home during all inspections, we do need to enter homes approximately 50% of the time. On those occasions we recommend getting us a one day code to get in and do the inspection on our own.  We usually are out of the home within 20-30 minutes.

  • If a code is not available, we recommend limiting the number of attendees at all Residential Solar Inspections. This includes asking owners and tenants to vacate the property 15 minutes prior to the start and and plan to be out for 1 hour from the start time.

  • We are taking precautions and want to eliminate unnecessary social contacts. We will conduct conference call wrap ups and recommend buyers and family members visit the property after the inspection or schedule for another time to see/ check areas of concerns.

  • Agents and clients can always call us once the inspection report is received for further questions and explanations of findings and areas of concern.

  • Gloves, masks, and booties will be worn by the solar detective when entering the home.

  • With our online system everything is online (invoice, agreement, payment and report) which enhances great social distancing practices.

  • We are open to any suggestions you may have to also better ensure the safety of others. Please feel free to forward recommendations to us at info@TheSolarDetective.com.

Again we understand this is a difficult and uncertain time, and our first concern is for you and your clients safety and welfare. We hope you all stay safe and are taking the necessary precautions to stay that way.

Thanks for all the help!
