Become a Franchisee

We have a low cost of entry compared to most franchises offering such a large, lucrative and untapped market.  The total investment necessary to operate a Solar Detective franchise is estimated to be $98,500 - $166,500.  This includes an initial franchise fee of $45,000 that must be paid to the franchisor.  

It's important for you to understand all aspects of the business, therefore initially the franchise must be owner operated. As your business grows we will work with you as your role evolves.

The availability of any specific areas will be discussed during your initial interview.  We cannot predict which territories will be available when your application is complete. The Solar Detective Development Team is limiting territories so that there is only one local territory awarded so that the franchisee has the best opportunity for strong growth.  We will work with you to pick your territory. 

The Solar Detective® provides our franchisees with support through every facet of the business. Our new franchisees work with a dedicated Start-Up Business Coach for the first year as you go through our startup program.  

Our more mature franchisees have the support and guidance from a Business coach who can help you achieve your long-term goals and grow your business to fit the lifestyle you desire.

We have the systems, tools, and support in place for startup, marketing, IT, Residential Solar Inspection© software and much more, in order to help you be successful. 

A Residential Solar Inspection© is an examination of the condition of the solar installation, focusing on the main components and safety of the solar system. 

Each state and province has its own rules and regulations concerning Residential Solar Inspections©.  We have an established learning pathway to ensure our franchisees meet and exceed the requirements of their specific situation. 

This is a full-time business. In order to be successful, there must be a least one person dedicating a full-time effort.

Our franchisees start out as individual owner operators, and are able to make a great living for themselves. 

If your goals are to run a larger scale business, we have the system to help you hire employees and grow your business. 

We don't require you to have an office or warehouse space. This is another way you can save expenses, but as you grow you may decide you need an office.
